Yes, it’s that time again, and although this is a little late notice due to restructuring of the committee, we have successfully booked the date of our New Year 2010-2011 event. The UHCSA Hmong New Year will be on December 11th, at the Golden Ears Winter Club, adjacent to the Planet Ice skating rinks in Maple Ridge.

More details to follow, and in other news… the UHCSA has a new president! Let’s welcome Mr. Joe Her (you may know him from the Hmong Band Sudden Rush), and wish him a successful reign as the head of the organization!

And finally, a message from our former president:

Allow me to congratulate Mr. Joe Her for his successful inauguration as our new President of the United Hmong Community Support Association, representing Hmong BC. I wish him all the best, and will continue to support him and the association as a member on the board of directors.

The Hmong BC 2010 UHCSA Summer Picnic has been set:

Saturday July 24th, at the Albion Park in Maple Ridge, BC

UPDATE: The address is 24312 104 Ave, Maple Ridge, BC, Canada, and it will be from 9:30am – 4pm. Arrive early if you want to help with the preparations! The gate will be open at 8am. We will be having lunch at 12pm noon.

I know it’s been awhile. Thanks for being patient. We had a great UHCSA 2010 Hmong New Year celebration, and it’s time to prepare for our next event!

We are in the process of rescheduling our Hmong BC New Year Celebration to accommodate our local Hmong band, Sudden Rush. They will be performing in Sacramento on November 28th, which conflicts with our New Year date.

Sudden Rush are valuable members of our community, and they contribute much to our events. They are a hit across Canada and the USA and are a big attraction that many people look forward to, they always volunteer their services to setup the audio equipment and provide entertainment, and they support our community greatly.
